I’m a long time parkour athlete. I’ve done everything in parkour except sell things. I’ve trained for almost 20 years, all over the world, but I’m UK based.
The name Tramps Kitchen comes from an old parkour spot. If you know, you know.
The idea started a few years ago. I used to do a lot of CAD at school, in product design and DT. Interestingly, my final product at A Level was modular parkour obstacles (which sucked, looking back), but I think that’s where the love, the passion and the concept stem from.
Concrete is permanent. It lasts forever, unlike parkour spots. It fits the “immortalised” tagline, and plays on so many spots having been destroyed.
Spots like Imax and Hospital have seen all kinds of mazza. Imax hosted many jams, including Daggettween, a yearly jam for Alex Daggett and Halloween (same day). There were many versions of it over the years, with fireworks and everything, and it was a staple in the parkour calendar. Hospital’s grass has seen so much BS, but a personal fave was the parkour boxing club.
I make every model myself, except for Yard. That was built by Sunday Supa XXL and the DIY crew. I made the CAD, but they made the actual spot, and I used a lot of their pics and work to help me build it. Where we know who designed a spot, we shout out the architects too.
I want each model to remind you of a time you’ve had at a spot. I want it to trigger memories, whether that’s just interactions, personal milestones or challenges completed.
